But it’s time for Biden and Harris to stand up and tell the truth as they’ve always done. That they did America a favor by getting rid of Trump in 2020 and got a lot of good stuff done. But now it’s time to allow for the ascent of youth.
I feel betrayed by my Democratic party. Their incompetence of running a campaign is staggering. I cringed the whole debate. I want to fire their debate prep team. Simple things: President Biden looking down instead of into the camera, not tilting his head upward (FDR's trick) , not smiling enough, keeping his with mouth open when not speaking made him look old. More specifically, deploying a strategy of having Vice President Harris failing take the credit for the administration's accomplishments throughout the year on so many things. Bruce's comment about the "ascent of youth" is so so right. There is not enough time for it to be anybody else but Harris. My concern is that the Democratic party has this unwritten 'it's my turn' placeholder ethos, leaving the decision of who gets to run to party elders, (no pun intended.) Unfortunately, that is what prevents the ascent of youth. I'm so mad.--RE
