(" How Trump Wins (and Harris and the Democrats Blow It)" and "How Harris Wins (and Trump and the Republicans Blow It"))
The Dems are disjointed, their positions disrespectful of far too many, their wokeness an irritation, Harris a poor candidate, both uncommitted to cause and unable to articulate. Well, thank you Mr. Douthat for that stirring recital of how the Democrats will carry the day this November.
And that is the good news.
Mr Brooks recitation on the failings of the Democratic party is even more damning and depressing.
To give the floor to two Republicans in sheep's clothing (ok, Mr. Douthat does not even really pretend to be anti-Republican, merely anti-Trump) is to turn the keys to the asylum to inmates just itching to walk out the door.
Thank you for bursting the Dem joy balloon and damning the party with faint and not so faint damnation.
The sky just got darker. You couldn't let our insecurities rest for just a moment more could you.
Back to the reality of fear. Compliments of the New York Times.
