("Supreme Court Keeps Ruling in Trump's Favor, but Doesn't Say Why")
Winkin, blinkin and nod.
And so the Supremes, with their shadow docket, give silent assent to the President's bad intentions.
Hear no evil, see no evil and speak not a word the solemn pledge of the majority on the highest court as they allow for the dismantling of this country inch by inch and step by step.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, isn't democracy's demise worth a paragraph or two? The administration free to fill in the blanks with their own interpretation of what was left unsaid. These emergency rulings coming fast and furious as living under the thumb of Mr. Trump is but one enormous, continuous five alarm conflagration.
Waiting for another day to place the whys and wherefores, the punctuation and predicates, the rationale and reasons before the public is not an answer but an excuse. There is no tomorrow when our house is on fire now.
Democracy does indeed die in darkness, in silence. And the quiet in the shadows is the deafening sound of America's death knell.
You've expressed so well how so many people feel. I wish there was someone in the political world to tell us not to be afraid of the dark.--RE
