("Mike Pence: Donald Trump Has Betrayed the Pro-Life Movement")
Dear Mr. Pence
15 weeks is a "late-term abortion"? For a person so committed to this issue, I wonder how you came to this understanding.
As far a I know, "late term" refers to the moment when the fetus is deemed "viable" outside the womb. And while that figure is not cast in stone, it has never been defined as early in the pregnancy as you now repeatedly suggest. Rather, and by the way, this is what Roe was based on in case you might have "misremembered", anywhere from 20 to 22 weeks has been considered the benchmark for viability.
So I have been distracted from whatever rant you have gone on about Mr. Trump (who is a most deserving recipient of almost any screed, including one critical of his favoring a national ban on abortions after 16 weeks because it is a nice round number) by your repeated insistence on redefining terminology.
I would not suggest you lose sleep over Mr. Trump's current stance as he is as wed to this position as he was to Ivana and Marla. If tomorrow it is expedient politically, he will consider the time one purchases a contraceptive to be the line in the sand abortion deadline. Or, if this polls better, he would adamantly demand this occur only when the doctor is saying "one more push".
What Mr. Trump considers late term is the last year of a Democrat's presidency. And what truly matters to Mr. Trump is the viability of only one life. His own.
Right on‼️
