Donald Trump is the least serious political leader this nation has ever seen. He does not consider the office of the President as one that demands study, difficult contemplation or input from those who have deep knowledge or understanding of the complexity of a particular subject.

As such, in his first term, he rejected and ridiculed the findings of the leading voices of the CDC when addressing the most serious health problem to face this nation in many decades, dismissed military leaders who disagreed with his off the cuff assessments, belittled those in charge of preserving and protecting our country's laws and constitutional mandates. Expertise framing a position considered a liability in his universe.

It can be no surprise that Mr. Trump would seek to elevate those who have gained his personal favor despite lacking any of the requisite qualifications to handle the assignments of their post. Government to Donald Trump, governing to Donald Trump is but an extension of his personality. Able to be undertaken by anyone with a pulse. 

And, oh yes, unimpeachable loyalty to their leader.

So we now find Mo, Larry and Curly taking center stage.
