The Super Bowl, Taylor Swift and the Fate of Our Democracy

Did this feel to you as if the Dems just won the election? 

Taylor Swift has become public enemy number one of the MAGA crowd. I mean I think she must have introduced Covid into the US, invented the ludicrous theory of global warming, rigged the 2020 election and paid off the judges and juries who have sat and will sit in judgment of the most misunderstood would be despot of all time.  And still had money left over to fly that damn private plane half way round the world, causing the glaciers to melt, just so she could yell and hug in that billion dollar booth with Brittany, Jason and the other 3 Musketeers. And get more air time than the Donald.

This was not a cliffhanger of a football game, this was a referendum on the fate of America. It was this country going into overtime. If the Chiefs lost, Fox News would have moved away from the immigrants are coming to get you and Joe Biden is more lost in space than Will Robinson to Taylor Swift got what was coming to her and why that stupid red lipstick every single time we see her. At least for a full news cycle.

OK, I know maybe the Super Bowl is a teeny bit overhyped. But not what this outcome meant to the fate of democracy. Or to the future sales of Taylor's forthcoming album.
