('It was the same old show': Kamala Harris responds to Donald Trump's comments about her race.)
Birther echoes resonate in Mr.Trump's attack on the "blackness" of Ms. Harris. Was Mr. Obama a true American? Is Ms. Harris not black enough?
I have a visceral response to the way this man denigrates for sport. How he seeks to diminish others through his racist lens, the bigotry virtually dripping off him. He is the "ugly American" steeped in his prejudices, his preconceptions, his pernicious comments a poison spreading throughout the body of this nation.
The America of Donald Trump is one of exclusion, of ridicule, of malice aforethought. A white nation under attack by immigrants, with names hard to pronounce. Subject to question, to ridicule, under constant suspicion.
We are better than this. Better than our worst impulses. Better than our lowest common denominator. Better than Donald Trump.
and dont forget draft dodger, and who denigrates losers, like Sen. McCain who was captured and stayed with his men in Viet Nam, and other captured men.
