The End of Camelot

It is the end of Camelot.

The Kennedy mystique, the belief that this family was imbued with special qualities, that they were given immense wealth, power, good looks and a deep and abiding compassion for and understanding of those over whom they would seek to rule, has died. 

The cause of death was the words of Robert F. Kennedy Jr, filled with rage, hatred and disinformation. A vitriolic attack on our government, on the Jewish nation, on China, on science. 

His uncle believed in our exceptionalism, in our capacity to achieve wondrous things. His father was an unyielding advocate for those who had unfairly suffered far too long and too deeply. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has little in common with his family except his family name.

And Camelot is now nothing more than a fairy tale.
