Phantom of the Opera and Donald Trump

Really, what more could we possibly need to know?

Donald Trump is playing Donald Trump on endless loop. So did CNN have to prostitute itself for the ratings? 

This was an infomercial masquerading as something of significance. The crowd was there to devour the red meat Mr. Trump threw it. The candidate was there to remind his adoring audience that he still had that pizazz. That neither rain, sleet, E. Jean Carroll, NY prosecutors, classified documents, Ron DeSantis or slow old Joe could keep this once and future jerk from his appointed rounds.

So, respectfully, I suggest that not genuflecting before the king of everything inappropriate would not be inappropriate. 

We have watched this show for eight years now. We know all the punch lines. Even Phantom of the Opera has ended its run.

Let us not continue to ask Mr. Trump for his every thought. Or actually for any thought at all.
