("The Swamp Wins Again, Even Against Elon Musk")
It turns out Elon Musk now received his own pink slip. An "Apprentice" sized "You're fired." The Beatles were right, "money can't buy you love."
For his $300,000,000, Elon got to whip out his chainsaw, put his kid on his shoulders for a photo op or two and do his best to destroy a whole bunch of careers and dismantle a few agencies here and there. His dream of doing to the government what he did to Twitter just a tad bit unrealistic and, oops, unconstitutional.
And it turned out that kind of ruining, I mean running, the country was not as much fun as Elon imagined. Nor good for his own bottom line. He had to enlist the biggest car salesman he could find to try to hawk his Tesla's on the front lawn of the big house as sales plummeted. And then, like his efforts to end democracy, one of his spacecraft blew up. A fitting denouement to this undertaking.
On top of that, there were these pesky lawsuits, those terrible rulings, undoing some of the best of the worst he had attempted to do. His goal of trimming a few trillion here or there from the budget falling, oh, just a few billion $TRUMP coins short of its goal.
And, in a shocking turn, it now appears that Mr. Trump was not concerned about cutting the deficit after all. Just wanted to smack a few million people around. For the Hell of it.
In the end, even the Donald tired of Elon. Both of these egos too large to fit in the same room. So Elon now takes his money and his chainsaw elsewhere. Certain that tomorrow he can do damage wherever he lands.
Thanks for nothing Elon. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Talk about the door hitting him--may it thump him every which way and HARD and mercilessly.
