Civil rights become uncivil wrongs

Due process morphs into undo process

Separation of powers turns into separating from the powerless

I know we have been down this road before and I understand that a snowball in Hell has a far greater chance at survival than this but, but, but.... why don't we impeach the S.O.B. There, I said it.

I mean treason, bribery or other high Crimes and misdemeanors. This guy wrote that book. And has now rewritten it in all CAPITAL LETTERS.

He has neutered the courts, thumbing his nose at express directives of the Supremes. He has taken the power of the purse reserved for Congress and pretzeled it out of their hands. He has ignored required procedures for the firing of Federal employees and removed people from the country without providing even a pretend opportunity for a defense.

In his first go round we investigated his connections with Russia, impeached him for a bad conversation with President Zelensky and then again for giving his best impression of Nero while the Capitol exploded. And that, my friends, was but child's play compared to his myriad accomplishments in these first 100 (which, for those keeping score, is less than 7 percent of the time now allotted to him to do his best to do his worst).

Look, I understand that Republicans in Congress are afraid they will give up their political lives and maybe their physical ones if they do so much as contemplate the word. But my God, the house is burning and they are going to be left shivering and shoeless in the snow with the rest of us when this guy is done. I mean if there is more than 93 percent left of this episode, I know with as much certainty as death and taxes that none of us is remotely capable of forecasting what will remain of democracy when he has finished his power point presentation.

Do those who have the ability to stop him think, in some fantastic misperception, that he will just burn out shortly? That one day, like when Forrest Gump just decided to stop running, this master of disaster will announce he is done with this season of The Apprentice and we can all be returned to our regular programming? He will never, NEVER slow, NEVER back away unless we take the keys to the car away from him.

The future of our country is at stake. And if Donald Trump is not impeached, tried and convicted then EVERY single Republican in Congress who turned their gaze away from the conflagration should be shown the door. Mid-termed into oblivion.

For they will have been but willing accomplices to the end of the world as we know it
