If He Can't Walk, Can He Run?

("The Challenges of an Aging President”)
He can't run and hide. If he can't at least walk faster, he can't run. Not for this office. And not against that person.
Joe Biden can't be the invisible man and hope to emerge victorious in November. He can't shadow box his way into our hearts and on to that ballot. We are all too scared of the dark that surrounds him, that threatens to capsize his chance for a second term.
If Mr. Biden can't come into the light with a bounce in his step and a twinkle in his personality he should just step away. I do not say this easily for it does a grave disservice to him but I cannot stand back (and stand by) while he does an even graver disservice to this country by giving an opening to allow the man who couldn't and shouldn't the strong possibility of can and will.
The report of special counsel merely put into words what we have all been thinking, all been worrying about these long nights: Joe Biden is too old, too diminished to lead us (U.S.) from the unimaginable, unthinkable temptation of handing the reins (reigns) over to Donald Trump.
Say it ain't so Joe. Say it loud, clear and often. Or say goodbye. Before it's too late.
