"Doable"?

Excuse me for asking, but what the Hell does that mean? Does the New York Times not have a brain of its own?

Can it not report that Donald Trump has done nothing but sabotage Ukraine in these "87 days" that Mr. Rubio reports the President has allegedly been attempting to resolve this crisis?

Did we forget the public humiliation President Zelensky was required to endure at the hands of Mr. Trump and his lackeys? The demand for Ukraine's riches in exchange for not abandoning their cause? The statement that Ukraine was to blame for its invasion by Russia?

Do we not mention Mr. Trump's long time bromance with Mr. Putin? Mr. Trump's dalliance with autocrats and dictators around the globe? Mr. Trump's clear desire to divide the world with those like Mr. Putin (Greenland, Canada, the Panama Canal there for our taking)?

What about his statement before taking office that he could end this war in 24 hours? Of course that would mean total capitulation by Ukraine, an abandonment of lands captured by Russia and, undoubtedly, a determination that they would remain unmoored, unattached to any configuration of nations pledged to defend one another?

"Doable"? Cannot the New York Times "do" any better than that?
