Donald Trump surveys a dystopian landscape. Replete with exclamation points of disaster. Needing not a gentle hand but an iron fist to survive the onslaught.
His language filled with incendiary, inflammatory terms like invasion and emergency. Not matters to be addressed in the ordinary course, but requiring immediate dramatic retort.
The confines and restrictions envisioned in our Constitution, by our laws and regulations become of no consequence when everything is considered in CAPITAL LETTERS. Immigrants crossing the border become INVADERS. Response to an imagined energy crisis is DRILL BABY DRILL. Gender issues become GENDER ISSUES. And executive orders become the answer to anything and virtually everything that ails us.
When all around us imploding, when the conflagration is at our doorstep, we dare not fight disorder in an orderly manner. Welcome to Donald Trump's distorted vision of America, to his second term and the first days of his attempt at authoritarian rule.
We are going to implode. Explosion is not an option. We will be nailed down by all caps. The foundation will not hold.
We have a new King, not a new President. The King will reinvent history, the King will do everything, you no longer need to vote, the King will rule. Anyone who does not bow down will be prosecuted and the King's loyal 1500 Jan 6th peaceful folks will hunt you down.
