I had a new "friend" suggestion from Facebook today.
Actually, she and I have been friends for years. Well, that might be an exaggeration, since she has never heard of me, and quite frankly never will.
On the other hand, I am quite familiar with much about her, from her health, to her marriage, her children and even a host of her relatives. She seems to have a contentious relationship with her brother in law and sister in law. But I try not to pry.
We are of different generations. She is 30 years my junior and I am sure everything from our tastes in music to our bedtimes are vastly different. She has to chase after three little kids while my worries focus more on trying to remember if I just took a pill or merely intended to.
I do wonder how Facebook decided to match us up. Was it because she also loves the Yanks, although for her that word probably has a very different meaning. I don't think it had to do with our residences, because even though we both might say our home is our castle, only she means it.
Anyway, despite the thoughts of Facebook that we might be a good match, I am respectfully declining the invitation. Honestly, I have not made an effort in decades to expand my friend network and I am quite certain that Catherine, Princess of Wales has a full plate of followers even without me.
But I will be sure to discuss my decision with her the next time we chat.
Were you spoofed??
