A Line In the Sand

("Why George Santos Won't Be Able to Fake His Way Through Congress")
So, Mr. King, your party can only put their trust in those pure of heart and sound of mind? Like Ms. Taylor Greene, Ms. Boebert, Mr. Gaetz and the rest of the gang that couldn't talk straight and is more than willing to perpetuate the worst of lies in the pursuit of power and prestige. Give me a break.
Mr. Santos has been selected to serve on two committees, does not have the letter "L" (loser, liar) tattooed on his forehead and will fit in just fine, thank you. There is no calling by party leaders for his head on a platter. They dare not hand back a seat for grabs by the Dems by demanding his resignation. And, more than that, he is not their enemy. He is their ally, hiding in very plain sight.
No, Mr. King, I will not fall for your suggestion that there is a nadir, a bottom, a line in the sand drawn by your party that Mr. Santos has breached. No, he is but the latest iteration of a group that has proven itself fully capable of embracing the worst of the worst without question or constraint.
Starting from the head of the snake down.
