At last count, one person had accepted President Trump's most generous offer. That is only about 12 million short of what he had hoped for.

Who can trust El Presidente to be a man of his word? What if he decides after you self report, before you self deport, that you are one of the "very bad" guys who does not deserve a "beautiful" plane ride to the destination of your choosing, but rather a one way trip to El Salvador or maybe even to the soon to be refurbished Alcatraz.

Or maybe it is merely that no one is accepting because they fear the possibilities of plane travel now that the FAA has been gutted and crashes now seem as frequent as another Trump Executive Order.

There are unmistakable echoes of Germany in the 1930's in this requirement to identify oneself as "other".
